This is the first of three par fives on the course. It starts out with a blind tee shot over the hill that is generally down wind. The best position off the tee is to the left side of the fairway. If you are standing on the tee you will see a house on the side of the mountain; it makes an excellent target. The wind will usually push the ball to the right side so make sure you play for it. The left side of the fairway opens the green for possibly hitting the green in two. The tee shot is normally a little crosswind, once you get even with the thirteenth tee on the left the hole plays downwind. The ball will really sail if your shot gets up high in the air so you might be able to get there if you choose a club that gets up in the air rather that a low lofted club. The green can be deceptive it appears to slope from back to front, but it actually slopes from front left to back right with the lowest point on the green being the right side of the green. Since there is no rough in front of this green and it slopes away from you a wise player will hit a bump and run type of shot for there approach to the green when close. Watch the other shot into the green to see how receptive it is. This green can get hard and fast during the summer.

  • Blue tees: 508 yards
  • White tees: 502 yards
  • Red tees: 496 yards
